Trainees who engage in a 10-week Seasonal Program are paired with one of Scarf's wonderful work experience partner venues early in the program, based on their interest and availability. As well as gaining paid work at two Scarf Dinners during the season, we also facilitate additional paid work experience for each trainee in a partner venue, working closely with venue owners and mentors to ensure a supportive, positive and encouraging atmosphere for the trainee.

Trainees are paid award wages by Scarf for their work experience shifts, which is possible thanks to partners like OpenTable and CoLab Wines. Work experience shifts allow trainees to gain real experience in some of Melbourne's best venues whilst building skills, knowledge, networks and confidence..
